Rennie chewable tablets (calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate) are an over-the-counter medicine for adults and children from 12 years of age, used for the relief of heartburn, acid reflux and acid-related discomfort in the upper abdomen. May be used during pregnancy if the recommended dose is followed. Do not use if you have elevated levels of calcium in the blood and/or a condition that leads to increased calcium levels in the blood or urine, or if you have kidney stones. Consult a doctor before taking Rennie if you are using other products containing calcium carbonate, if you are intolerant to certain sugars, have diabetes, reduced kidney function, or if you are taking or have recently taken other medicines.
