For two people
Cooking time: approximately five minutes + thirty minutes to cool down
Ingredients:
2 ripe avocados
3 tbsp of cocoa
3 tbsp of honey
1 vanilla pod or 1 bag of vanilla sugar
A small dash of strong coffee for that mocha taste (optional)
Suggested topping:
Salted peanuts or other nuts
Flake salt
Granola
Melted dark (70%) chocolate
1. Mix all the ingredients with an immersion blender until it becomes a smooth batter
2. Pour into two bowls and add any topping
3. Cool down in the refrigerator. (I put the mousse in the freezer for 30 minutes, it will be even tastier then. The mousse should be eaten very cold.)
Three healthy ingredients those of you who are pregnant:
Cocoa in its pure form is a very good raw material for pregnant people as it contains vitamin B and minerals that are good for the body. A good thing to keep in mind is that cocoa contains a small amount of caffeine. Remember to follow the Swedish Food Agency’s advice regarding caffeine intake.
Avocado contains folic acid which is important at the beginning of a pregnancy. The green fruit also contains a lot of minerals, vitamins and healthy fats. In addition, avocado contains choline, which is important for the development of your child’s brain and nervous system.
Honey is said to help with heartburn, which is common during pregnancy. Remember not to heat honey, as this will remove its beneficial nutrients. Honey is also said to be a natural remedy for pollen allergies.
